New Rebate Program for All-Electric Vehicle High-Mileage Drivers
Burlington Electric Department is offering new incentive programs for high-mileage BED customers who are ready to switch to an all-electric vehicle. These programs will support:
- Longer distance commuters
- Ride hailing service drivers (taxis, Uber, Lyft)
- Food delivery drivers
This program is an enhancement to our existing EV rebates.
High-Mileage Drivers
BED’s High-Mileage Driver program is available to customers who drive more than 17,600 miles annually. This incentive is on top of any other State, Federal or manufacturer’s incentive.
Proof of eligibility will include self-certification of having travelled more than 17,600 miles during the most recent 12 month period. Certification includes providing customer input at the time of online application relative to your daily commute, how many miles you drive annually for work and family and type of vehicle you have been driving until now.
The High-Mileage Driver program is only available for All-Electric Vehicles. PHEVs are not eligible.
