Get Help Paying Your Electric Bills
We are excited to share good news with our community that BED’s Energy Assistance Program (EAP), which began as a pilot program, now is a permanent program into which the BED team automatically will enroll customers. The EAP will provide income-qualified customers a 12.5 percent monthly bill credit on your electric bill. Customers no longer will need to sign up, rather BED will enroll them and, if for any reason customers do not want to participate, they can opt out. Electric Lawncare Equipment
Are you ready to retire your old, gas-guzzling lawn mower in favor of a quiet, battery-operated E-mower? If so, BED’s $100 rebate for a push mower or $300 rebate for a riding mower is available to help with the cost of your new E-mower. If you purchase an E-trimmer and/or an E-chainsaw too ($50 rebates) or an E-leaf blower ($40 rebate), and it is made by the same company and has the same type of voltage as your E-mower, you may be able to use the trimmer, chainsaw, or leaf blower batteries with your mower, extending your mow time. Bike Electric and Save
We have more good news. As we shared back in March, BED has increased electric bike rebates to $300, including instant rebates at local bike shops and online rebates for e-bikes purchased elsewhere. With the warmer weather having arrived, we suggest you consider an E-bike, which can take you further and faster than a conventional bike, while still providing exercise and the thrill and exhilaration of biking. Motorcycle Electric and Save
For those motorcycle enthusiasts in town, please take note of BED’s $500 rebate for electric motorcycles. E-motorcycles must be new and registered in Burlington. To learn more, please visit burlingtonelectric.com/rebate-form and click on the E-motorcycle icon.
Join Us for Lake Monsters Customer Appreciation Nights
BED will be joining our Vermont Lake Monsters friends at the ballpark at the games on Thursday, June 6 and Wednesday, June 26. To show our appreciation for our customers, the BED team will be in our tent on the Centennial Field concourse giving away custom-designed t-shirts featuring CHAMP’s move to driving electric in support of Burlington’s Net Zero Energy goal to the first 200 Burlington fans who show us either their digital or paper bill. We also will have energy experts on hand to answer any questions you may have.

The BED team loves getting out into the community.
